The glass door opens and we are invaded by the sweet aroma of pineapple in a green, exotic and simple greenhouse context. The acoustics and absence of noise reveal that we are indeed in a rural setting. Now with the musicality of the rain playing on the glazed windows, then with the unrestrained melody of the birds that in the early hours of the day have fun flying over the plantations, here there is peace. Agenda conflicts are not important, productivity is no longer an issue and stress is an unknown word. Here there is peace that is unlikely, but obvious.

Crowned by nature desirable by definition, pineapple is the representative fruit of the Island of São Miguel. The island meet exceptional conditions in soil, climate and mysticism to produce a fruit with unique characteristics such as the pineapple. Color, acidity, degree of transparency and sweetness are some of the attributes considered in pineapples that are known (and desired!) for its Detox properties.
But if the fruit, with all its branches, is desirable in pots and even in sophisticated floral arrangements, it is even better as a whole, in a greenhouse among other plantations ...

Start by hanging up when you arrive at Herdade do Ananás and enjoy the energy that our gardens transmit to you while delighting yourself with a pineapple liqueur of regional production, made with the best pineapples in the Azores. Right after check-in, let yourself be carried away by the picturesque corners of our house as you prepare for a private guided tour of the pineapple production in our greenhouses.
Let yourself be carried away by the magnificent story and knowledge about the process of growing this fruit, which takes two years to grow. At the end of the visit, who knows what gift will come!
